The grassroots mobiliser stressed that the state, through the appointment, has recognized and acknowledged the political roles and significance of Ikorodu Division.
Speaking with THE IMPACT on Tuesday, Dr. Akinola, who congratulated Dr. Agbaje on his new appointment, also said that the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state government, with the elevation of the appointee to a Commissioner, have started listening to the cries and yearnings of Ikorodu, and also supporting the Division in delivering on its pledged 300,000 votes in the forthcoming general elections.

”The appointment of Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje is a welcome development and a well- deserved one for our dear brother and active political operative, going by how he has discharged creditably in his previous role as the Special Adviser on Rural Development.
”His impacts were felt in every rural area in the state in terms of road infrastructure, portable water provision, transformer facilitation, support for farmers, and empowerment for youths and women among others.
” But this is not just a personal victory for Dr Agbaje, rather, it is a collective achievement for the entire Ikorodu Division. It means that we now have two Commissioners which is an improvement considering what we had been having over the years”.

He stressed: “It also implies that the state government and our dear party, APC, are also listening to the demands of Ikorodu for better reward for all its contributions to the development of the party. This will go a long way in motivating us to deliver on our pledged 300, 000 votes for President Bola Tinubu, and other APC candidates”.
He thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for affirming the positive contributions of Dr. Agbaje to his administration with his appointment as a Commissioner.
”On behalf of my people in Ikorodu, I want to sincerely thank our amiable Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for recognizing the performance and contributions of Dr. Agbaje in his position as a Special Adviser in the last three years, and deservedly appointed him as a Commissioner.

”Once again, I congratulate our amiable Commissioner, brother and leader, on his appointment and elevation. I wish him success and more positive impacts to the administration and the state as a whole.
”Congratulations, sir”.
